Penny Black Saturday Challenge - March

Hi folks...the first Saturday in March already and time to join in the fun over at Penny Black Saturday...the challenge this month is to use...
LACE AND PEARLS

a chance for me to play with my new Capsule Collection - Parisienne goodies from Papermania...
and seeing as this gorgeous self adhesive fabric paper has a bit of a sewing look about it...it was time to look out this oldie...one of my favourite Penny Blacks...Stitch In Time
and use the fabulous Canvas shapes to die cut some cute flowers...
As always there are fabulous prizes up for grabs and gorgeous inspiration from my Penny Black Saturday teamies so it's time for you to look out your Penny Blacks and have fun.
The weather here has been a bit up and down....the odd cold rainy and downright dreich day and beautiful blue sky frosty mornings in between...totally unpredictable but on Thursday evening in the North East of Scotland we were treated to one of nature's most phenomenal light shows...the amazing Northern Lights...the Aurora Borealis...
photo courtesy of Gary Morrison...taken near Inverurie/Oldmeldrum...just over the hill from where I live...apparently the clear night sky weather conditions at the moment are perfect...sadly it was a bit of a damp squib viewed from my back garden due to the light pollution from streetlights and surrounding homes...it's a case of being in the right place (out in the pitch blackness of the countryside) at the right time and if you are ever lucky enough to witness this wondrous light show...your socks will be well and truly blown off as the lights change colour and dance across the sky...a sight you will never forget...apparently created by solar storms but I like to think it's just Mother Nature showing off.
But back to the crafty stuff...the car's packed up and I'll soon be on my way to meet up with the lovely crafty folks at The Papeterie for a day of fun at Kath's Klub.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx
