Spoke too soon...

Morning folks...once again I opened my big mouth and put my foot right in it...why do I never learn that making wild predictions always comes back to bite me on the bum...you'll have guessed that yesterday's plan to nail those demo cards went slightly pear shaped...I know I'm a bit of a last minute Annie but this was taking the proverbial biscuit...back up against the wall...right to the wire and no mistake...the tidy and organised hat disappeared and the cubbyhole turned into a "tornado has just blown through" manic crafting frenzy zone...
not too bad I hear you say but as we pan out the devastation becomes apparent...
an overflowing bin of failed attempts...
before there's something that I'm reasonably happy with...
who says this crafting malarkey is easy and of course my cubbyhole helper is still on rest and recuperation leave so there was nothing else for it but to roll up my sleeves and get stuck into the job of rounding up all these little blighters and making sure they were safely tucked away...
but I lived to tell the tale...today's another day...I'm off to pack up the car with the fruits of yesterday's labours and then step into a much needed hot de-inking shower before I head off to The Papeterie for a day of fun games and lots of laughter.  And a quick update on the furry patient...he's doing great...hasn't quite grasped the concept that he's still on a light diet but the chief portion controller is sticking to her guns...little and often is the order of the day for the moment...this old crafty Mum doesn't want to repeat the traumas of last weekend.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. Hi Kath, sometimes it is good for the rest of us to see that not all works out for you first time either! And that you make a mess like most of us too.......hope you have a great day today and that at least that goes to plan for you. Glad to hear the Buddy is still improving too. Crafty hugs, Anne x

  3. Good that the furry chap is improving - & recovering his appetite. I hope he doesn't get round his Dad in your absence with those melting brown eyes of his. I'm so relieved that your bin looks like mine ....... & chaos is a trait of the truly committed crafter/artist - where else would inspiration come from if everything were perfect first time?
    Hope it all goes well.

  4. I'm sure you've got lots of good ideas to show us in spite of the overflowing bin.

Good to hear Buddy's appetite is back even if he is having less for his meals than he'd like!

Hope you had a successful day at the Papeterie.
